''Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies." (Proverbs 31:10)
Our memory verse begins the final 21 verses of the book of Proverbs and describes God's formula for the true essence of womanhood. A woman in any generation may look to the passing fads of her culture for true happiness. She will always come away frustrated, shortchanged, and disillusioned, but here in the wisdom of the Old Testament, God has given us a gold nugget. In the Hebrew language, it forms an acrostic with each of the verses beginning with a successive letter of the Hebrew alphabet.
One of Israel's earliest kings, possibly Solomon, wrote this chapter. He is quoting his mother so the viewpoint is feminine. It is from a woman about women. This is the total woman. This is a woman in whom her husband can have full and total trust. (Proverbs 31:11)
For a woman to seek to live by this standard may be overwhelming. It remains, however, the standard for every woman who desires to be her best for her God and her family. Because of the kind of woman she is, her husband and children rise up and call her blessed. She receives praise because she is worthy of praise. This may be the sweetest music of matrimony. Nothing motivates a woman more than when her husband tells her she is the greatest.
It is time for every Christian woman to walk into God's beauty parlor and say, '' I want to be like the girl there in that picture - that word picture in Proverbs 31.''  He will instruct you to cut off that straggly laziness that holds you back. He will do plastic surgery on that long pointed tongue that gets you in so much trouble. He will put you on a diet of the Word of God and then do a program of exercise in Christian ministry! God wants to make you a woman for all seasons.
When all else fails, read the manual. It is all right there. Gods gives you the instructions so you can be the kind of wife every husband needs, particularly your husband.
''Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all. Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates. (Proverbs 31:29-31)
As you continue to pray for India, pray today for one of the lowest castes. They are known as the Dailet, and represent 18% of the nation. These are deprived, landless, subjugated and exploited people. They have been known in the past as outcasts and untouchables. Many of them are now turning to Christianity. Pray that this will not be a turn to a religion because they believe it will improve them economically. Pray that it will not be a turn based on emotional and economic exploitation.  Pray that the Dailet will become believers, not just in name, but in genuine commitment to Jesus Christ.
As you pray today, remember the Dailet caste of India. Of all the 6,400 castes, this one is the poorest, but they could become an army of effective witnesses for Christ.
Several of our Institute graduates are reaching out to these lowest of the low castes. During this era of persecution in India, these faithful servants are facing incredible opposition. Pray for the national pastors in India who are reaching the Dailits for Christ.
“God's plan for marriage is mutual submission - both husbands and wives submitting to each other. He is to submit with sacrificial love, and she is to submit by willingly placing him as her leader.”
