''You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." (Psalms 16:11)
            The Psalmist was filled with praise as he recognized that God provided all that he needed. When he walked through the valley of the shadow of death he said, ''You will show me the path of life''; when sadness threatened him, he proclaimed “in Your presence is fullness of joy”; when life seemed dismal he discovered, ''at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
            Whatever your circumstance might be today, you can look to Him. He is indeed all you need .
  • He is enduringly strong; He is entirely sincere; He is eternally steadfast.
  • He is immortally graceful; He is imperially powerful; He is impartially merciful.
  • He is the wellspring of wisdom. He is the doorway of deliverance. He is the pathway of peace.
  • He is the roadway of righteousness.
  • He is the highway of holiness. He is the gateway of glory.
  • He is the master of the mighty.
  • He is the captain of the conquerors. He is the head of the heroes.
  • He is the leader of the legislators.
  • He is the overseer of the overcomers. He is the governor of the governors.
  • He is the Prince of Princes and King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Fill your house with glory today. It is amazing what praising can do. Praise is God's address! It does a body good!
            I've had the privilege to visit in the Republic of Hungary in Eastern Europe on several occasions. I was not there to do missionary work, nor just because I enjoy the goulash. It is because it is the gateway into Romania for many groups that we have taken there. The country of Hungary is a landlocked central European State on the River Danube. It is a beautiful land with approximately 9 million people, and about 2 million of them live in the capital, Budapest. Literacy is 99%, and the official language is Hungarian.
            Hungary was the first Communist bloc state to begin privatizing its economy, and to record positive economic growth. Following a painful period of adjustment, the economy grew well after 1998 with an improved standard of living.
There is wonderful freedom of religion in Hungary. The sad thing for us is that the more Hungary prospers, the harder she becomes to reach for Christ. Though Hungary is in Eastern Europe, she is becoming more and more like the countries of Western Europe, with a cynicism toward the truth of God's Word.
            Now, specifically pray for God to raise up godly, Spirit-filled, and committed evangelists. The church in general needs to mature in its ability to evangelize and overcome feelings of inferiority that restrain boldness and witness. Pray for Spirit-led creative forms of witness. We are grateful that there is not a single town in the country without an evangelical congregation.  Pray that God will raise up the leadership to take advantage of this wonderful time of opportunity in Hungary.
''When Jesus comes, the tempter's snare is broken;
When Jesus comes, all tears are wiped away;
He takes our gloom and fills our life with glory,
For all is changed when Jesus comes to stay."
From a great hymn by Homer Rodeheaver, Lyrics by Oswald Jeffrey Smith
