''Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them." (Revelation 20:11)
The Great White Throne Judgment is the final judgment of the wicked dead. The passage of Revelation 20:11-1 5 gives us a clear picture of a great white throne. This will follow the 1,000 year reign of Christ. This is the final judgment, and only the wicked dead are to be judged. The judgment for believers will be at the Berna or the Judgment Seat of Christ. (II Corinthians 5:12) At this judgment,we will receive crowns and rewards for things done in our body whether it is good or bad. This will be a time when Christians receive degrees of reward.
On the other hand, the Great White Throne is when unbelievers will receive degrees of punishment. Verse 12 tells us that three books will be opened at this judgment.
The Book of the Lord, which is the Bible, the Word of God, will be opened. Right now, many will say, ''Well, in my opinion," or, ''The way I feel about it''. The truth is that it matters not our opinion or how we feel. All that matters is what the Word of God says. So the Book of the Lord will be opened.
The Book of the Law will be opened also. The Scripture tells us that those at the Great White Throne will be judged according to their works. I am so grateful that I have settled out of court, and I will not be judged by my works, but I have pled the blood of the Lord Jesus.  So the Book of the Law will be opened .
The Book of the Lamb will also be opened. This is the Lamb's Book of Life. When your name has been written there, it is absolutely certain that you will not be at this judgment. Scripture tells us in verse 15, ''Anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the Lake of Fire."
The Lake of Fire is Gehenna, the hell that Jesus described to His disciples. He observed the garbage dump of Jerusalem that burned night and day without stopping, in the Valley of Hinnom. This is where the fire is not quenched and the worm dies not. This is the Lake of Fire for men without Christ, and all the demons of hell spend eternity without Christ.
At this judgment, there will be no acquittal, no higher court to which the lost may appeal. They are lost, and lost forever. They are damned to all eternity without hope. In Hell, there is no hope, no sympathy, no love. Even the grace and forgiveness of God does not extend into the portals of Hell. It is too late then.
Praise the Lord today that, as His children, we will not stand at this judgment, but will receive rewards at the Judgment Seat of Christ. What a blessing to be recipients of His grace and forgiveness.
One of the greatest contributors to missionary involvement in the last 200 years has been Great Britain.  Now interest has waned, and many congregations have never even sent out their own missionary.  At the beginning of the new century, there was only one Protestant missionary overseas for every 6 churches in Great Britain. This reveals a widespread complacency.                                                                                                                                                                            Pray for a fresh awakening of missionary commitment in Great Britain.
