Today's Bible Reading
     II Chronicles 35
     Revelation 21
     Malachi 3
     John 20
''For I am the Lord, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob." (Malachi 3:6)
Our verse makes it clear that our Goddoesnotchange. God will keep His Word and perform His unchangeable will. This incredible Biblical principle is set forth in the midst of some very strong statements about God's will. For example, He makes it clear that He hatesdivorcein Malachi 2:16.
God's strong feelings about the titheis set forth in Malachi 3 :8-12. He makes it clear that the faithful tither will receive blessings from an open window in Heaven.  Those who will not live by the will of God with their tithe are cursed with a curse. (Malachi 3:9)
So this is an incredible statement that our God is immutable, and His will does not change. Note also that, according to God's unchangeable will, ''all Israel will be saved . . .'' (Romans 11:26) It is God's will and purpose that the ''word of truth'' (the Gospel) - the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ be preached to Israel so that ''all Israel will be saved." God's will was immutable(unchangeable -yesterday, today, and forever). God reveals His immutable will in His eternal Word so that all mankind, whether Jew or Gentile, that will repent of sin and receive Jesus Christ as Messiah and Savior, will be saved.
            God's will is immutable . . .
          1.    In salvation.  ''We are saved by grace through faith, not through works. That will not change.
          2.    In judgment, for ''the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to His Son. (John 5:22). The judgments that the Bible has set forth will occur. All the saved will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ. Every lost person will stand before the Great White Throne. Christ will judge all nations of the world at the beginning of His millennial reign. Christ will judge the wicked at the end of His millennial reign.
Our God's will does not change. He is indeed immutable. To know God's immutable will, you must know His Word. Can you imagine what a mess all of nature and our current culture would be in if our God was a flexible, changing God, and His Word was subjected and open to anyone 's interpretation and application?  Aren't you glad today that we serve a God who is immutable and whose Word is infallible and inerrant. His will for you is that you will have life, abundant life, and eternal life provided in Christ. His will is unchanging.
As we pray today for missions, pray especially for our own nation, the United States of America. For many years, our nation has been the premier missionary sending group in the entire world. Pray that that will never slacken. To whom much is given, much is required, and God has given much to the United States and to the evangelical community of this nation. We not only have the privilege, but the obligation of sharing the Christian Gospel with the darkness of the lost world. May the light that God has given to us be a light that will permeate the darkness that millions of people throughout the world experience every day of their lives. Pray today for the United States as a missionary sending force. We cannot expect God to bless America unless America blesses the world with the Gospel.
