Today's Bible Reading
     II Chronicles 36
     Revelation 22
     Malachi 4
     John 21
“He who testifies to these things says, 'Surely I am coming quickly. 'Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!'' ''Jesussaid to him, 'If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me." (Revelation 22:20, John 21:22)
The Bible is filled with reference to the ''coming again'' of the Lord Jesus Christ! It is clear to those who understand Scripture that the next great event to happen will be when Jesus comes in the air for the raptureof His church. Though the word rapture is not in the Bible, the event is very clearly there. It means ''tosnatch away." This is the occasion when the church of Jesus Christ will be caught up to Heaven. It is there that we stand at the Judgment Seat of Christ and enjoy the blessings of the marriage supper of the lamb.
But, on this earth, all hell breaks loose when Seven Seals are opened, Seven Trumpets blow, and Seven bowls of wrath are poured out. This is called the ''Great Tribulation."  It is when the Anti-christ and the False Prophet, join with Satan to become the satanic trinity. This is the time when 144,000 Jews and a multitude of Gentiles will be saved. These will be people who have not heard how to be saved prior to the rapture. (II Thessalonians 2) Many of that group will experience salvation during the tribulation. They will rejoice with the Lamb of God on Mount Zion, but all of them will lose their heads because they refuse to take the mark of the beast.  They join us, however, as a part of the millennial reign of Christ.
At the end of the seven years, we will return with the Lord to win the battle of Armageddon and to establish His millennial Kingdom. At the end of that 1,000 years, Jesus will preside at the Great White Throne, and put away all of lost humanity, Satan, and all the demons of hell into the lake of fire, and present to His church the beginning of His eternal tabernacle with us.
Everything seems to indicate that we are near the time of His coming. All the events of Noah's day are very clearly a part of our generation.  Jesus made it clear that it will be as it was in the days of Noah when the Son of Man comes.
Current events in the Middle East indicate the nearness of His return. I cannot imagine any one single sign that our Lord gave us that has yet to be fulfilled before the rapture of the church. When He comes, it will be a day of condemnation.  Lost humanity will face the era of greatest judgment ever known to man. But it will also be a day of celebrationfor the child of God. That day is coming soon. Even so,come quickly, Lord Jesus!

The last prayer in the Bible is ''Come, Lord Jesus." (Revelation 22:20) Peter tells us that we should be ''looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God." (II Peter 3:12) How better can we do it than by praying for the fulfillment of many Scriptures that indicate to us the evangelization of the world, or hastening of the coming of the Lord. Pray today for the speediest possible evangelization of the world, for the Great Commission to be restored to its rightful place in the church, and you and your church's part in seeing this accomplished.
''Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus."
Revelation 22:20
