     Joshua 4
     Psalms 129-131
     Isaiah 64
     Matthew 12
''But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you." (Matthew 12:28)
It is important for believers to understand that they are involved in a daily, spiritual war. This war is not confined to flesh and blood, but is a war against principalities, powers, and rulers of the darkness of this age.
''Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places”(Ephesians 6:10-12)
The Christian life is a holy war, and the main conflict is in the heavenlies, between the hosts of God (Heaven's Angels), and the legions of Hell (demonic powers). According to Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28, one-third of the angels of Heaven followed the rebellion of Lucifer and were cast out in judgment as demons into the earth. That conflict will continue until they are put away forever in the Lake of Fire. This will be done once and for all, following the millennial reign of Christ.
It is impossible to believe the Bible and disbelieve in demons. Satan is the ''ruler of the demons''.  (Matthew 12:24) He is their god, and they are his servants to do his will. Paul tells us in II Corinthians 4:4 that, ''the god of this age has blinded the minds of those who do not believe."
How can Satan blind the minds of all unbelievers and keep them in spiritual darkness since he is not Omni-present? His servants (the demons) assist him in this evil work. They can keep unbelievers in spiritual darkness until they are cast out by “the word of his power.”It is the power of God's Word and of the Holy Spirit that gives us the ability to resist Satan and his demonic servants.
We need to understand that Satan and his servants are great counterfeiters. These demons will carry out Satan's orders of deceit, killing, and destruction. Believers must realize that they are indeed in a spiritual war, and put on the whole armor every day.
The Apostle Paul warned Timothy that in the latter days, some would depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits (that is demons), and will believe and teach ''doctrines of demons." All the doctrines of demons are lies. In the last days, lying will become a way of life. The believer must remember, however, that ''greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.”In dealing with demons, the believer must take the following steps:
Remember who Satan is - he is a created fallen angel in rebellion against God, and is a liar and destroyer.
Refuse to give Satan an advantage in any area of your life.
Reject any trend to be pre-occupied with Satan and demons. Stay focused on Jesus.
Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (James 4:10)
Revisit your commitment to spiritual warfare.
Run from every connection with the occult and the evil supernatural.
Renew your vows to God.
The Christian can rejoice that Heaven's Angels outnumber demons two-to-one. We have the power of the Holy Spirit, and the sword which is the Word of God. Satan rules a doomed domain, and we are promised the victory. Check the last chapter - we are going to win!  You may live your life today in certain victory.
The Christian church in the Virgin Islands has become very nominal, lacking in vitality and vision. Moravianshad a glorious past but they and all churches need revival. Pray for spiritual awakening in the Virgin Islands today.
''The more God's people reckon with the devil in their praying, the more they will taste the liberty of the Spirit in dealing with the issues of life."
