     Revelation 15
''Look to Me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other." (Isaiah 45:22)
This prophecy from the pen of the statesman prophet is about the sovereignty of God, and His ability to meet every need in our lives. Has it ever occurred to you that nothing takes God by surprise? He sees it all coming. For you, it may be cataclysmic at worst and disruptive at best. You never saw it coming!
When the call comes in the night from the law enforcement . . .when the doctor says, ''it's cancer''. . .when the Dear John letter arrives...an employer hands you the pink slip...when death strikes all too close...it is a disruptive moment for which you were not prepared .
Can you remember facing a disruptive moment as a child? Perhaps you fell from your bicycle and skinned your knee. What was your first impulse? To call for help, of course, and perhaps when you did that, your mother or father called out, ''Stay right where you are - I'm coming to help you." When they arrived, they said, ‘‘Now look at me." This is precisely what God is saying to you today, ''This moment may be disruptive to you, but I am God. Look at Me!''
When life wounds us, and we are in deep pain, we instinctively cry out to God. It is then that we hear Him and feel His presence so clearly. In the midst of tragic circumstances, we can have the richest fellowship with Christ afforded to us.
You may be facing a bend in your road right now. You may already be in the midst of your disruptive moment, but He is God, He is there, and you must look to Him.
            M. Scott Peck begins his best seller, The Road Less Traveledwith three simple indisputable words -''life is difficult.'' Who will argue with that? Life is difficult. Your life may be difficult today, but look to Him. Wake yourself up and look to God. Build your hope on Him no matter how many things seem to be pressing in on you. Be determined to push them aside and look to Him. He makes you a promise. ''I am God, and there is no other."
Our prayer focus today will be on the Asian country of Malaysia. This nation, with its more than 24 million souls, has less than 10% Christian with the Islam and the Buddhist/Chinese leading the way with a total of 80% of the population.
The greatest needs in Malaysiafor our prayer focus today are a lack of Christian workers (many smaller churches have no trained pastors at all), the move to rethink attitudes and effective service to non-Christians, and the need for effective Christian literature in the Malaylanguage. There is also a tremendous need for ministry to young people. Pray today for Malaysia
''I bear willing witness that I owe more to the fire, and the hammer, and the file than anything else in my Lord's workshop. I sometimes question whether I have learned anything except through the rod. When my school room is darkened, I see most." Charles Spurgeon
