''But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly." (Matthew 6:6)
            The Prayer Room should be called the ''War Room'' because that is really where the battle takes place. It is in the arena of prayer where the victories are won in this spiritual war. Probably the greatest struggle that a new believer ever faces is the discipline of prayer. Prayer is an effort of the will, and is successful only as there is a disciplined commitment to pray. After we have entered our secret place, and shut the door, the most difficult thing to do is to pray. The great battle in private prayer is overcoming this problem of our idle and wandering thinking. We have to learn to discipline our minds, and concentrate on willful, deliberate prayer.
            Notice, Jesus says to ''shut your door." Having a secret stillness before God means to deliberately shut the door on our emotions, and remember Him. God is in secret, and He sees us from ''the secret place." He does not see us as other people do, or as we see ourselves. When we truly live in this ''secret place'' with Him, it becomes impossible for us to doubt God. We become more sure of Him than of anyone or anything else. When you enter that ''secret place'', you will find that God was right in the middle of your everyday circumstances all the time. When you spend time in the secret place with Him, every public thing in your life will be marked with a lasting imprint of the presence of God.
            The very essence of His presence and your intimate relationship with Him will carry over into your public life. The victory in the front lines will come from the War Room, that secret place of meeting with God. The key to this is that we must keep our eyes on God and not on people. Our motivation must be our intimate relationship with Him and not people. It is impossible to carry on your life as a disciple without definite times of secret prayer. The war will be won on our knees because it is His battle, not ours.
Wales is a land of approximately 3 million people, and is known as the ''Land of Revivals." Early in the 18thcentury, Wales experienced a consistent series of revivals. The last of these occurred in 1904. Since then, there has been a decline in church attendance and the closure of many churches. The rate of this has been higher than in any other part of the U.K.  Pray that revival may come again…many groups in Wales are praying for this.
''Come as the fire, and purge our hearts with sacrificial flame;
Let our whole soul an offering be to our Redeemer's Name."
