“That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus." (Ephesians 2:7)      ·
As we consider grace, we are not talking about a woman by that name, nor are we talking about the prayer before a meal. We are talking about the grace of God. If it is grace, it has to be amazing.
God's grace is essentialfor salvation. This grace was revealedin creation. Instead of God making us a clone or a robot, or like a puppet or slave,He gave us volition. He gave us a will, the ability to have an intimate relationship and fellowship with Him. This grace was releasedthroughcrucifixion. The Bible tells us, in Ephesians 1:7 that, ''In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace." The grace of God cannot become ours without the shedding of His blood on the Cross, but this grace is receivedin conversion. There must be a time when, by faith, a person is committed to the Lord Jesus Christ.
This grace of God is also the essenceof our sanctificationand security. In II Peter 3:18, we are told to ''grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ." We must not only receive His grace for salvation, but it must constantly be a part of our spiritual growth.  This grace is also a guaranteeof our gloryto come.
I am so thankful that it is grace that energizesour servicefor the Lord. At times, we think we have to motivate Christians to serve the Lord, but the greatest motivation for the Child of God is to come face to face with the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.  If His grace will not motivate you, then perhaps it is true that you cannot be motivated.
A classic story that illustrates this truth is when a slave owner bid higher and higher for a beautiful, half-breed slave girl. He was mocked as people believed the purchase of this girl had some ulterior motive, but after the purchase was made, he set her free and gave her the documents to prove that she was free. She turned to leave but then came back, and fell on her knees before him, and said, ''Sir, you have bought me and set me free, but now I voluntarily commit myself to be your servant for the rest of my life."
That is how the grace of God should motivate every believer. It is His grace that saved us,and it is by His grace that we serve Him and are committed to Him. Again, the hymn writer has said it well:
“Oh, to grace, how great a debtor, daily I'm constrained to be.
Let Thy grace, Lord like a fetter bind my wandering heart to Thee”.
God's amazing grace also encouragesour giving. ''Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all." (Acts 4:32- 33)
I have also personally discovered that God's grace equipsus for suffering. It is really only through suffering that a believer experiences brokenness, and learns the true meaning of God's grace. ''And He said to me, 'Mygraceis sufficientfor you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. “Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."  (I Corinthians 12:9)
One older saint was talking about God giving us dying grace. Someone said, ''I don't believe I have dying grace." The older saint replied, ''Of course, you don't,you are not dying now." When the need arises, the grace of God will be there as well. It is alwayssufficient.
As you continue to pray for media outreach of the Gospel, pray for the use of the Internet throughout the Middle East. That door is completely open except Saudi Arabia. This allows Muslims to consider the claims of Christ in a non-threatening,anonymous way. Pray for more specialist web ministries to Muslims.
