     I Samuel 25
     I Corinthians 6
     Ezekiel 4
     Psalms 40-41
He has put a new song in my mouth -praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord." (Psalms 40:3)
      Do you have a new song of joy and praise in your life today? It is characteristic of the child of God, regardless of background or current circumstances, to be singing a new song of joy. In fact, we are definitely not talking about happiness. Happiness depends on what is happening while joy depends on Jesus.
      When you study the life and ministry of Jesus carefully, you will discover a life filled with joy. His joy was His absolute self-surrender and self-sacrifice to His Father - the joy of doing that which the Father sent Him to do – “”who for the joy that was set before Him, endured the Cross .. .'' (Hebrews 12 :2)
      It is the will of our Lord that the joy of Jesus might be constantly a part of our lives. ''These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full." (John 15:11) So, the major question for you today is - ''does the joy of Jesus Christ fill my life on a daily  basis?'' Living a full and overflowing life does not rest in bodily health, circumstances, or success, but in the perfect understanding of God and the same fellowship and oneness with Him that Jesus Himself enjoyed.
      We have all discovered that before we even realize what is happening, we are too often caught up in our cares, and that chokes out what He desires to do for us. Jesus said, ''...the cares of this world ...choke the word and it becomes unfruitful."  (Mark 4:19)
      When you find your right relationship with God and discover that is where you will find the source of joy, then out of you will flow ''rivers of living water." (John 7:38) The joy of Jesus can flow not only into your life, but through your life to bring blessing to others. The word joy has often been used as an acrostic to reveal the priorities that are always in the joyful life.
            J -  Jesus must be first
            0 - Other's blessing must be your goal
            Y-   You will receive the joy.
You may find yourself going through a dark night of the soul - but God will give you a song in the night. You will be able to sing your way through your storm. You can sing the song of joy in your valley experience. May your life be characterized by a new song of joy.
      Let's take a moment today to rejoice! Christianity has now reached one billion souls in more than 220 countries and 450 languages; Seventy percent of all church growth has occurred in this century; Seventy percent of all that growth has been since World War II; Seventy percent of that growth has been since 1989. About Thirty percent of all growth in the church has been in the last 7 years. There is no true prayer without praise. Give Him praise today for what He is doing in His church.
      ''O what a happy soul am I Although I cannot see
      I am resolved that in this world Contented I will be;
      How many blessings I enjoy that other people don't,
      To weep and sigh because I'm blind, I cannot and I won’t."
