''But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully." (II Corinthians 9:6)
The Holy Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, presents us with a spiritual law that has never been broken and can never be broken in the future. This law applies not only to material possessions, but to time, energy, and ministry. Scripture tells us that we must not grow discouraged in sowing because in due time, we will reap. (Galatians 6:9)
In the financial realm, however, we cannot out give God. ''Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." (Luke 6:38) The family, or individual, who learns this early will enjoy wonderful satisfaction in their relationship to material possessions. There are several principles here that are essential to plug into God's economy.
1.     Before we give anything material to God, we must first give ourselves.  ''And this they did, not as we had hoped, but first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God." (II Corinthians 8:5)
2.     I must be willing to be made materially poor, if necessary, in order that others may be made materially rich. ''But as you abound in everything - in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us - see that you abound in this grace also. I speak not by commandment, but I am testing the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich." (II Corinthians 8:7-9)
3.     I must learn to give out of what I have, not what another has. ''But now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have."
      (II Corinthians 8:11)
4.     I must be willing to give out of my abundance to meet the needs of another, believing that tomorrow, if I have a need, God will use the abundance of others to meet my need. ''But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may supply their lack, that their abundance also may supply your lack - that there may be equality."  (II Corinthians 8:14)
This kind of giving always exceeds the standard, exemplifies sacrifice, expresses selflessness, and exposes your spirit.
You have entered the Family of God by spiritual birth and by spiritual adoption. This means you have become a joint heir with the Lord Jesus Christ. As a saint of God, you are the recipient and owner of God's best and richest blessing. It is time you begin to hold your head up, rebuke the enemy, and live like a King's kid.
So God has made you a promise and it applies to every part of your life. If you sow bountifully, you will indeed reap bountifully.  If you sow sparingly, you will reap sparingly.  Seek to discover every way possible to sow bountifully today.
Focus your prayers today on the Republic of Colombia in Latin America. This country has approximately 45 million people, and is growing rapidly.
The problems we hear most about from Colombia are the drug cartels with their own terror groups. This has led to a variety of assassinations and kidnappings. Right-wing paramilitary groups have also formed in combat with guerillas and wage terror wars of their own.  It has been one of the most violent countries in the world.
Our ministry has conducted several crusades and conferences in Colombia. It is encouraging to see that the violence has decreased although parts of the country are still dangerous. It is mostly encouraging to see a great response to the Gospel and effective outreach from several growing churches. The people are gracious and many of them are very responsive to the Gospel.       Pray for Colombia today that Satan's hold will be broken by prayer.
''Find your niche, and fill it. If it be ever so little, if it is only to be hewer of wood or drawer of water, do something in this great battle for God and truth."
